INTRODUCTION

increasing. However, one crucial aspect that can enhance career opportunities
in the technology industry is proficiency in the English language.
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the importance of English
language skills in the technology sector and the benefits of learning it.
Additionally, this paper will present a practical application of these skills
through an interview simulation for a job in the technology field. This
exercise will provide students with the opportunity to apply their English
language skills in a practical setting and prepare them for success in their
future careers.

Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
CANDIDATE: Hi, my name is Jennifer Tijaro, I´m 35 years old, I am single and I live with my parents, I am
excited to be here today for this interview. I am interested in the position of
apprentice in software development, and I have a background in speech and
language pathology specializing in public health.
INTERVIEWER: Great, what motivates you?
CANDIDATE: I am motivated by problem-solving and finding innovative
solutions to challenges. I want to use my skills and knowledge to create
software that can make a positive impact on people's lives, especially those
with communication difficulties.
INTERVIEWER: That's wonderful. What are your hobbies?
CANDIDATE: In my free time, I enjoy coding and developing software
applications. I also like to read about the latest technology trends and
advancements in the industry.
INTERVIEWER: Thank you. What are your future plans if you get this job?
CANDIDATE: If I get this job, my plan is to learn as much as I can and
become proficient in software development. I want to contribute to the

CANDIDATE: One of my biggest accomplishments was when I helped a child

CANDIDATE: I left my last job to pursue a career in software

customer service. I like to make people happy and solve their problems.

CANDIDATE: I enjoy playing sports like soccer and basketball. I also
like reading books, watching movies, and spending time with my family and
friends.

made me feel proud and happy to help them.

opportunities and challenges in my career. I am looking for a new challenge and
I think this position is a great fit for my skills and interests.
